BRUNEI MUSEUM LOGO

One of the motifs used to highlight the Brunei Museums’s logo is an old Brunei coinage called Pitis.  Other emblems include:
  • The crest used during the reign of Sultan Abdul Momin (1852 – 1885) A.D.
  • Royal umbrella and other Royal state insignia.
  • The wing (Sayap) of four feathers, symbolised the responsibility of the State, to protect the tranquility, justice, prosperity and peace.
  • Floral designs commonly used on cultural heritage of Brunei such as daun lukut, bunga cengkeh, akar (root), daun setampek, bunga paip and bunga keramunting.  The emblem is circumscribed by a circle with 32 lines.  The word ‘Muzium Brunei’ that is written in Jawi is found at the top of the logo whereas the roman script is at the bottom.
